Lois Hogya, CPCU

Lois Hogya brings 26 years of business experience to her position as vice president, underwriting and marketing/communications at Princeton Insurance. She began her career in 1979 as an underwriting assistant with the Insurance Company of North America. She joined Princeton Insurance in 1987 as an underwriter and later transferred to the marketing department, where she worked for three years. She was promoted to underwriting supervisor in 1991 and underwriting manager in 1995.
During her career at Princeton, Lois successfully expanded the chiropractic, dental and psychologists' professional liability programs into new geographic territories, spearheaded the drive to re-underwrite the company's entire book of physician business, and designed an effective tiered rating system that helped maintain the company's financial stability while allowing it to remain competitive in the marketplace. Lois is responsible for the ongoing evaluation of rate adequacy for various classes of business and overseeing the underwriting function of the company. She also directs the organization’s marketing and communications activities.
She completed her certification as a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter in 1999 and is a member of the Central Jersey CPCU Society. She received her ARe designation in 2004. Lois holds a BA degree in Business Administration with a concentration in General Management from Thomas Edison State College.

Margaret Clark, CPCU

Ms. Clark came to Princeton Insurance from St. Paul in 1988 as an underwriter and was promoted to senior underwriter in 1990. In 1999 she was promoted to call center supervisor and has worked as an underwriting manager since 2003.
Ms. Clark’s responsibilities include the supervision of underwriters, coordination of Insurance Office Services (ISO) Reporting, and the documentation and implementation of underwriting changes. Additionally, she is responsible for the 24-hour new business call center and new business reporting.
She received her certification as a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) in 1999 and is a member of the Central Jersey CPCU Society. She also received her Are designation in 2004. In addition to an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Brookdale Community College, Ms. Clark is currently working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at New Jersey City University. |

Jonathan Lazar, CPCU

Mr. Lazar began working in the Claims Department at Princeton Insurance in 1993. Throughout his 11 years there, he wore many hats and acquired various titles in addition to earning his Property Claim Law Associate (PCLA) designation through the American Educational Institute (AEI). In 2004 he was promoted to marketing communications manager. In this role, Mr. Lazar works closely with physician insureds, large physician groups and medical societies to ensure all their medical professional liability insurance needs are being met and to answer any questions they may have about the company, the state of the market, or general medical malpractice topics. He also serves as the key point of contact for all appointed Princeton Insurance agents.
In 2010 Mr. Lazar achieved his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation (CPCU).

Karen McCormack, CPCU

With over 18 years of diverse property/casualty experience, Ms. McCormack has held various positions in the insurance industry before joining Princeton Insurance in 1999. Since then, she has worked as an underwriter, senior underwriter, information and systems coordinator and, since 2006, underwriting manager.
Ms. McCormack has a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Quinnipiac University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from St. Peter’s College. She has achieved designations Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) and Associate in Commercial Underwriting.

Sue Van Horn, CPCU

Ms. Van Horn brings decades of experience both in the industry and specifically with Princeton Insurance to our underwriting team, having joined the Underwriting Department in February 1985. Since then, she has held various titles within the department, including assistant underwriter, underwriter and senior underwriter. In February 1994 she was promoted to underwriting supervisor and has served as underwriting manager since 2003.
Currently her responsibilities include supervision of underwriters; hospital reporting, i.e. Bordeau’s; quarterly reports to management; coordination of reinsurance audits; investigation of weekly closed physician claims and investigation of monthly physician board actions.
She earned her Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1999, her Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designation in 2004 and is currently a member of the Central Jersey CPCU Society. Ms. Van Horn also holds a producer license in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. |
